Since 2014 Stratus has worked with Fertilizer Canada to gather data from Canadian farmers to measure fertilizer practices and attitudes about 4R Nutrient Stewardship.

The 4R framework—Right Source, Right Rate, Right Timing, and Right Placement—is designed to balance productivity with environmental responsibility.

Familiarity with 4R is growing! More acres are in compliance, and non-compliance is mostly due to fertilizer rate decisions made without getting advice from their retailer or crop advisor.
